Brauhaus 1516 in Augsburg

It was the end of August when it was my turn. The windows were quite dirty so that the view inside was not 100%. Then I let it be. And went.

The Brauhaus 1516 is a decent German pub with very friendly service. The waiters took the order quickly despite the peak of activity and the waiting time for food and drinks was reasonable. The drinks are good. Some of the food was delicious, but one time or another I was disappointed. Often the meat was quite dry and tough (especially if you ordered a knuckle of pork, but you also had a very dry roast pork - it was better on a later visit) or I didn't have enough sauce for the dumplings. The snack plate is highly recommended. The atmosphere is also just okay - personally, I don't find the pub too rustic, it lacks cosiness. Instead, you sit on benches in a large room, there are no demarcated areas, which means that the entire restaurant develops a rather uncomfortable atmosphere, especially since it is often very noisy due to the size of the room. Overall, however, a decent inn for a good meal.

Unfortunately there is already nothing left to eat at 9:45 p.m. At 10:15 p.m. we would be expelled from the restaurant.

A catastrophe three years ago, but great today. The kitchen has developed very positively. The daily specials are always very tasty and alternating. In this case, price performance is really more than okay.

Good beer ? good food, service quick and polite

Serve tables next to me and refuses a bier to me so unprofessional. The next time I was here portions were good and what I would expect. My guest said that the ? was very dirty.

I didn't like it at all, very slow service and I was also in the wrong order. They demanded a tip ... but not even a penny they deserved! The fries were good, just for this I don't put a stela. Very uncomfortable positions, I hurt myself. Help.

Very nice Bavarian food and bartender was very polite

Quaint tavern with delicious food and good beer. Have - against some recessions here so far never had negative experiences with the service. My recommendation is the spicy Currywurst, which is available in about 8 Schärfestufen. Also, the many events you can visit well, mostly Thursday, with free admission for a small markup.

Very good beer. I had dark beer it is highly recommended. The food is also very tasty. Would love to come back. In my opinion it is definitely worth a visit.

Service was ok though we had to hunt down our server to get a bill, she was out on a break. The beer was great though.

Not your usual station bar! Great range of beer and food and an amazing building.

The place is not bad, just for drinking and have a fan. But for the lunch its the worst place i think. Meal were very late. But beer really was good.

Beautiful brewery right next to the Hauptbahnhof. I was expecting the usual shady bar and was completely stunned when I came in. The service is friendly and the food is good, hearty German fare.

Beers were good, food was good. Watch out for the habanero curry wurst, mouth on fire material.

Very good Bavarian food, service is relaxed and prices are decent. 12$ US is average plate cost. They also have an English menu if you need that kind of thing.
